
Victor Terhemba
Victor Terhemba is a seasoned development practitioner and democracy advocate with over 6 years of experience working at the intersection of youth empowerment, democratic governance, and civic engagement in Nigeria. With a strong grounding in political education and social mobilization, Victor has consistently championed inclusive democratic processes that prioritize the voices of young people and women.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Women and Youth for Nigeria (WAY4Nigeria) Alliance, a platform committed to dismantling negative stereotypes and strengthening civic participation. In this capacity, he has successfully designed and led high-impact training programmes on “Fact-Checking and Countering Misinformation†and capacity building for political participation, equipping hundreds of young Nigerians and women with the tools to engage constructively in public life.
Victor’s track record spans grassroots organizing, leadership development, and coalition-building, including his work with prominent initiatives like Raising New Voices, SieDi Hub, and ReadyToLeadAfrica. His approach blends a forward-looking vision with a respect for tradition and tested democratic norms, consistently grounded in critical inquiry and results-driven advocacy.

Abidemi Omotola
Communications Officer, 2023
Abidemi OMOTOLA is a creative strategist, communications specialist, and project manager with over 5 years of experience at the intersection of communication, and social impact. With a passion for empowering women and youth, Abidemi works in international development, creating impact and fostering opportunities for women and youths.
She currently works as a Programmes Associate at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Nigeria, where she helps drive initiatives to combat environmental crimes while fostering cross-sector collaboration. Abidemi has also worked with organizations such as Data-Lead Africa, where she implemented communications strategies, facilitated data-driven workshops and championed women in STEM, and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Nigeria office where she supported youth and women’s participation in governance and political discourse. She was also a speaker at the 2021 Femtech Conference and has been featured on Kaftan TV’s tech weekly.
Abidemi is a skilled writer and moderator and she’s passionate about using digital platforms to amplify voices and create opportunities.

With a keen eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and audience psychology, I design and execute comprehensive digital strategies that grow visibility, drive engagement, and increase revenue.

Joshua Dominic
Dominic Joshua is a lifelong learner and an excellent-driven professional with 7 years of experience managing development and SDG-aligned projects across Nigeria. He has played key roles in implementing high-impact initiatives such as the Not Too Young to Run advocacy, the Jobberman Soft Skills program, and the BASF Innovation Challenge just to mention a few. His work in financial and digital literacy has directly impacted over 20,000 individuals physically and virtually.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from the University of Benin. A member of local and international fellowships not limited to Theirworld, the Sustainable Development School Network (SDSN), the Young African Leaders Initiative, and a pioneer scholar of the School of Politics, Policy, and Governance.
He is currently nurturing the idea of decolonizing the indigenous understanding of ‘museum and museum practices with MOWAA.†As a public programs associate.

Halimatu Sadiya Ochekliye

Halimatu Sadiya Ochekliye is a hardworking, creative and dynamic program manager and lawyer, who is enthusiastic about the sustainable development goals (SDGs), learning and providing lasting value to the organizations she has worked with. She is a team player with over 5 years of project management and design experience. She has successfully managed multi-million naira projects and fund-raised thousands of dollars for projects, providing value to over 10,000 people, with a majority being women and girls. She is driven by the core values of empathy, equality, excellence, integrity and accountability.

Pelemo Ava Nyajo
Pelemo Nyajo is a passionate youth advocate for disability inclusion and gender equality. She advocates for disability inclusion through her initiative ‘Movement Beyond Walls,’ where her vision is to mainstream disability inclusion through advocacy, using the intersection of the creative arts and sustainable development practices as a tool. She is a Youth Day Spotlight Awardee, by NGYouthSDGs and Oxfam, the EU Youth Empowerment Fund and the British Council Unlimited Micro Awards for her work in development and the creative arts. She has over 4 years of experience in development, where she works with organizations such as Plan International as the only Nigerian member of the Global Young Influencers Group, the state secretary of the UNFPA Youth Participatory Platform and a member of the UNICEF Young Influencers Group. She completed her one year term as the Shadow Country Director of Plan International Nigeria, representing girls and young people in Nigeria and globally. She is also a youth advisor with the Dutch Embassy and Plan International Nigeria. Pelemo is passionate about art for advocacy, thus, she is the Creative Director of the Artvocacy Movement in Abuja; and she mobilizes young people to push for meaningful change in society. She is an ambassador of Street Project Foundation, a YALI Abuja Fellow, a fellow of the prestigious Fredrich Ebert Stiftung Open Minds Young Voices, a 2 time TedX Speaker and arduous volunteer. Most importantly, beyond her reputable works, Pelemo is passionate about humanity and Ubuntu. She works towards creating a peaceful and harmonious world, where love can thrive.

Faith Onomwem Waziri

Faith is a passionate advocate for gender-inclusive legislation and a firm believer in the power of decision-making to shape society. Her journey into leadership began early—she became student body president at just 19 and earned a law degree before being called to the Nigerian Bar in 2021. Her commitment to inclusive governance led her to join the Women in Politics Forum, where she supported training programs that helped elect 9 of 25 female candidates in Nigeria’s 2023 elections. As the National Coordinator of the Young Women in Politics Forum, she now leads a network of young women dedicated to political participation and representation. Faith also serves as Vice Chair of Women and Youths for Nigeria and of the Alliance for Deepening Democracy, two national coalitions promoting social inclusion. She is a fellow of both the Open Minds Young Voices Network by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Nigerian Green Academy by Heinrich Böll Stiftung, programs that reflect her deep commitment to social democracy, equity, and sustainability. With legal expertise, a master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, and a strong national network, Faith continues to champion women’s leadership in politics and drive change in Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
